How it Works?

Amlonox 5 Tablet contains the active ingredient amlodipine (5 mg), which operates via the following mechanisms:

• Calcium Channel Blocking: Amlodipine inhibits calcium ions from entering vascular smooth muscle cells. Calcium is pivotal for muscle contraction, and its blockade leads to relaxation of these muscles.

• Vascular Relaxation: This relaxation results in vasodilation, enhancing blood flow and reducing systemic vascular resistance.

• Blood Pressure Reduction: By decreasing vascular resistance, amlodipine effectively lowers blood pressure, thereby alleviating cardiac workload.
