Dapanux M 500 Tablet is primarily used for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination medication that falls within the anti-diabetic class of medicines.

While taking Dapanux M 500 Tablet, you may encounter the following side effects:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Urinary tract infections
• Increased urination
Dapanux M 500 Tablet contains two active components:
• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor works by inhibiting the re-absorption of glucose in the kidneys, thereby increasing glucose excretion through urine and reducing blood sugar levels.
• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin lowers blood sugar by decreasing hepatic glucose production and enhancing insulin sensitivity, encouraging better insulin response and improving glucose uptake and utilisation by cells.
This tablet should be taken only if potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding if this tablet is advised.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it may impair blood sugar control, leading to complications like diabetic ketoacidosis.
Caution is advised.
In kidney impairment patients, there is higher incidence of adverse reactions related to reduced intravascular volume and kidney function.
Be aware of how the medicine affects you before engaging in such activities.
Do not take if allergic to dapagliflozin, metformin, or other ingredients in the tablet.

In older patients, there is higher incidence of adverse reactions related to reduced intravascular volume. Kidney function should be monitored frequently.
