Esmoease 40 Tablet is primarily used to manage conditions associated with excessive stomach acid production. It belongs to the class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors.
Esmoease 40 Tablet is prescribed for:
• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), reducing acid backflow into the oesophagus
• Aiding in the healing of peptic ulcer disease by reducing stomach or small intestine sores
• Controlling excessive stomach acid production in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Esmoease 40 Tablet may lead to the following side effects:
• Headache
• Dryness in the mouth
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Constipation
Esmoease 40 Tablet contains esomeprazole (40 mg), which acts within the body by:
• Blocking the Gastric Proton Pump: Esomeprazole inhibits the enzyme system in the stomach known as the gastric proton pump, responsible for acid production.
• Reducing Acid Production: This blockade reduces stomach acid levels, alleviating symptoms and facilitating the healing of acid-induced damage.
This tablet should be only used if clearly needed.
Nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding if this tablet is advised.
Avoid alcohol consumption.
Dosage adjustment is required especially severe liver impairment patients.

Daily Dosage

Missed Dose
• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to compensate.
Overdose
