Esmoease L Capsule is primarily used for the management of severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition characterised by the backflow of stomach acid into the oesophagus, resulting in irritation. It belongs to a class of medicines combining proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic agents.
Esmoease L Capsule is used to manage the following conditions:
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Peptic ulcers
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
• Gastric motility disorders

Esmoease L Capsule is taken orally.
Common side effects associated with Esmoease L Capsule include:
• Headache
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhoea

Esmoease L Capsule contains two active ingredients:
• Esomeprazole (40 mg): This component blocks the gastric proton pump enzyme in the stomach, inhibiting the final step of acid production and reducing stomach acidity.
• Levosulpiride (75 mg): As a prokinetic agent, it increases gastric motility by antagonising dopamine D2 receptors, promoting faster acetylcholine release, which enhances gastric emptying and aids in healing oesophageal lesions or ulcers.
Not recommended.
Nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding if this medicine is advised.

Contraindicated in severe liver impairment.
Contraindicated in severe kidney impairment.
Esmoease L Capsule may cause dizziness; avoid operating machinery or driving until normal.
Inform your doctor of any allergies, particularly to esomeprazole or levosulpiride.
Not recommended below 18 years of age.

Daily Dosage
• Esmoease L Capsule should be taken as advised by your doctor.
Missed Dose
• If you miss a dose of Esmoease L Capsule, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
Overdose
• Common side effects of overdose include headache, diarrhoea, nausea.
• Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Check the expiry date before use.
• Avoid spicy, fatty, and acidic foods as they can exacerbate acid reflux.
• Opt for small, frequent meals to ease digestion and reduce reflux risk.
