Atorzux 40 Tablet is prescribed for:

• Lowering LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol levels in the bloodstream

• Reducing triglycerides, a form of fat within the blood

• Increasing HDL cholesterol, commonly referred to as 'good' cholesterol

• Mitigating the risk of cardiovascular complications, such as heart attack and stroke, in individuals with type 2 diabetes or coronary artery disease

• Managing inherited hypercholesterolemia, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, in adults and children over 10 years of age

Direction of Use

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food.

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Continue taking this medicine as advised by your doctor.

Atorzux 40 Tablet contains atorvastatin (40 mg), which acts as follows:

 Reduction in Cholesterol Synthesis: By inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, cholesterol production in the liver decreases.

• Increased LDL Receptors: The presence of atorvastatin enhances the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, thereby improving LDL uptake and degradation.

• Reduction in LDL Production: By promoting LDL uptake and breakdown, atorvastatin reduces LDL production and circulation.
